Where is Golden, CO and why might they call it "Golden":

The City of Golden Colorado was founded during the gold rush.  It is the county seat of Jefferson County.  Golden lies along Clear Creek at the eastern edge Denver near the foothills.

Employers and Schools in Golden, CO:

Colorado School of Mines is located in Golden along with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Coors Brewing Company, Colorado Railroad Museum as well as others.  Jolly Rancher candies was developed in Golden and then later bought out by Hershey Foods. 

 

Golden Colorado has a golden history:

 

Buffalo Bill Cody is buried nearby on Lookout mountain.  The City of Golden has an historic touch and it can also be seen in the Real Estate there.   Golden Homes For Sale come in many forms.  Homes in Golden are single-family homes, condos, townhomes, luxury homes etc.  Nearby in the foothills there are Golden Colorado Homes are not just homes, they are properties with acreage.  You can find some beautiful views of the Denver city lights at night and acreage property that may allow horses etc.  If Golden CO luxury homes are your preference you can find a wide variety from Views to horse property or acreage or all of the above.  

Commute to Denver or Skiing from Golden:

The proximity to Denver is good and is a fair commute to Denver of about 25 minutes though it is more distant to Denver International Airport and may not be as convenient as other Denver neighborhoods, if the airport is a regular destination.  Golden is also close to the foothills, and therefore easy to access I70 to go to the Mountains for a day of skiing.
